AUSD Central Kitchen Grand Opening | Los Angeles Event Photographer


A few weeks ago, a new AUSD central production kitchen had its official grand opening! This new kitchen will provide 5,000 servings of breakfast and 9,000 servings of lunch daily for students of the following high schools: Alhambra, San Gabriel, Mark Keppel, and Century High School. The plan is to expand the service to the other 13 schools in the AUSD by Spring 2014. Vivien Watts, Executive Director of the Alhambra Unified School Disctrict Food and Nutrition Services, said the AUSD central kitchen has unified quality control and management to meet the federal government’s standards for student nutrition, and can reduce operation cost by controlling inventory and shipping. The central kitchen will also provide a variety of dishes to ensure balanced nutrition. Here are some highlight images from the event…
